About Verity NZ

About Verity NZ

Verity NZ is a New Zealand based carbon restoration company, and a subsidiary of global developer Verity Nature. We're led by Duncan and Fee Ensor – high country landowners in the Rakaia Gorge, Mid Canterbury – who bring firsthand experience of the land to everything we do.

We exist to make nature-based carbon projects straightforward and worthwhile, for the landowners who make them possible and the investors who back them.

What we do

From first conversation to registered credit, we manage the full journey. Project development, implementation, registration, and ongoing monitoring – our experienced team handles it all, so you don't have to.

Backed by global reach

As part of the Verity Nature group – with offices in Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Uganda and Singapore – we bring world-class expertise, technology, and market access to New Zealand projects. It's the kind of support that's hard to find locally, delivered by people who know this landscape intimately.

Kiwi-led. Locally grounded. Globally connected.

Why should landowners work with us?

Why should landowners work with us?

Why should landowners work with us?

We know that long-term conservation outcomes depend on stable, reliable partnerships – and that's exactly what we offer.

As a profit-for-purpose carbon and co-benefit project developer, Verity NZ covers all project costs upfront, collaborating with landowners to plan, develop and maintain projects from the ground up.

Our diverse team of experts manages everything – site assessment, registration, monitoring and credit trading – so you don't have to.

Your land, restored and working for you.

How does it work?

Verity NZ covers all reasonable costs associated with the project and shares the proceeds from the sale of carbon and co-benefit credits.

What does it cost the landowners?

The landowner is responsible for paying council rates.

How involved is the landowner?

It is your land, you decide. We will work with you to make sure we are all on the same page.

Will there be ongoing jobs for locals?

Absolutely, there will be jobs created for the life of the project (60 to 100 years is the usual project lifespan) depending on what agreements individual have with Verity NZ.
